No Longer a Bachelorette (almost)...

Saturday afternoon was my bachelorette party. I still had to work Saturday so I was up at 6:00 am and I worked until 12:00. I rushed home, had lunch with William, and got ready to go to Raleigh for the party. I had received an invitation by nobody told me what was going to happen so I was so excited! First off we met at the Renaissance hotel in North Raleigh. I had seen the hotel numerous times but of course I've never stayed there. We all met in the lobby and went up to our room which was quite tastefully decorated ;-) and had snacks and drinks and talked and laughed and had a good time. Lauryn and Liz had even made everyone a coozie and although it is not seen in the picture, mine said "Bride to Be" in jewels!!

This hotel is AMAZING. There is even a TV in the bathroom mirror!!!! They had made dinner reservations at Firebirds which was within walking distance of the hotel and we had a great dinner. The waitor even gave us our choice of two free desserts and we chose the cheesecake and the chocolate cake.
By the time this was all over it was pretty late so some of the girls left and the rest of us enjoyed games and laughing until about 2:00 in the morning. I had almost been up for 24 hours at this point so I was dead. It was SOO much fun and I'm so thankful to have such wonderful friends.

Next point of order....THE WEDDING!!!!

Getting closer

8 days and counting now till the wedding!!!!! It's getting SO close and we're getting SO excited!

We have had a very busy week (as usual) so it has really made the time fly by. On Monday, William's parents came to Winston just to hangout with him. I have to work late on Mondays and Tuesdays but Monday I was able to get off around 6:30 and we went out to eat and watched a movie and talked about wedding details. Tuesday I had to go to work but William went shopping with them a little bit and they left that afternoon. Then, wednesday right after work my coworkers and I went out to dinner at an upscale restaraunt here in Winston with a drug rep and it was amazing. BUT I didn't get home until almost 9:00. Finally today is my day off (because I also have to work tomorrow) but then tomorrow evening is my bachelorette party and I'm sooo excited! LOTS of wedding details need to be handled today on top of helping william practice for his standardized patient. WHEW. We need the honeymoon just to unwind from all this. :)

Back to Blogging!

We're back! We took a long break from blogging because the stress of work, school, and wedding planning was too much! However, we are officially on the wedding countdown (12 days left) and so things are a little more calm. Here are our life updates thus far:

1) William's school is going great. He has been in the biochemistry/microbiology section and he loves it! Biochem was a breeze and micro is a LOT of memorizing so he's working hard on that. Next monday he has his SPA exam which is with a standardized patient so it's really nerve-wrecking and then that Wednesday he will have his last test of the section. He is SO ready to get away on the honeymoon and have a break.

2) I have been working a LOT. I have a lot of long days but I had an interview at Wake Forest's PA school and I just got an e-mail that I have been waitlisted. Pray that a spot opens up!

3) We are almost set for the wedding. We just got our marriage license friday (which was a much simpler task then we thought), we have our wedding bands, location, reception, etc...Now we're just trying to plan out the logistics of who will be where and when, etc.

4) The weekend before last I had my bridal shower and it was so much fun. My mom, maid of honor and her mom, and my grandma did so much work and it was great...Here are a few pics:

My mom and dad came to visit us last weekend because we had so many gifts they wouldn't fit in my little car! They brought the rest to us and we had a good time visiting! I have a lot to do this week including packing for the honeymoon, finishing up bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts, finding some wedding shoes!!!, etc.

We're getting soooo excited!
