Our first week in Winston

Welcome to our blog! We thought this would be a great way for all of our friends and family to keep up with us and our big move. As many already know, William and I went on a month long trip to Africa to do medical service and he asked me to marry him at Olduvai Gorge which was one of our "tourist" spots along the way to our destination. William and I have been friends for four years and we've been dating for almost two years. We're so excited to get married and open this next chapter of our lives. We moved to Winston-Salem last weekend because William begins his first year of medical school at the end of this month. If you know William, then you KNOW how excited he is!

This whole week has been spent getting settled, unpacking, and preparing for what's to come. I have had two job interviews this past week, we have been back-and-forth running errands, and we have sick family members that we're thinking about from afar. Needless to say we needed a little treat so tonight we ventured downtown to Mellow Mushroom. It was some of the best pizza I've ever had. Here is a picture of us before we left:

When we moved in last saturday my aunt and uncle took us to get our wedding present early...SOO tonight when we got back from dinner we were ready to test them out:

WOOHOO! I have never been so excited to do some laundry, and boy did we have a lot of it.

Sorry this first post was not so eventful but I left my camera battery charger in raleigh so I have to take pictures with my blackberry! We will be sure to post some pictures of our apartment and whatnot as soon as we can take some more!
