Wedding Part III-The Reception

Whew! The last part of the wedding story--finally finished 1 day after our 1 month anniversary! Already? WOW! We last left off with my mom and grandma bustling my dress after we took all of our family shots. We headed out to the Dunn Community Center which was about 15 minutes from the Campbell Chapel. Of course, our wonderful photographer grabbed some great detail shots like..... The cake: Special parts of the candy bar including the "love ducks" (William always calls me his love duck so we thought it was only appropriate!) and our special suckers:

The DJ announced the whole wedding party and of course the new Mr. and Mrs. Harrison:

We danced our first dance to William's favorite song "Walk Through This World With Me"

and then we had the father/daughter dance and the mother/son dance. We also started the night out with the electric slide:
When I was doing all the wedding planning I was reading all kinds of tips and advice and one of the most repeated tips was to try to sit down and enjoy eating your food at the reception. Well.....we tried. LOL It wasn't very successful but we had about 4 bites and some sparkling apple juice for toasting:

We then cut our cake, which we DID eat and it was delicious! Traditionally we "fed" each other but it was so good that we made sure we had a piece of it!

We did the garter and bouquet toss and William put on a show! I never imagined that he would have done that but he can be a funny boy...
We danced the rest of the night away and exited to sparklers and a stretch limo! We had SUCH a fun time riding in the limo and since our hotel was all the way at the airport we cut through downtown Raleigh and just had a blast!

We hope everyone has enjoyed sharing our wedding story with us! Not only is this a great way to share with anyone who couldn't be there but it's a great way to preserve our memories! We have been married for a month now and we look forward to a lifetime!
